Yesterday, I was looking skywards to try and see where the noise from a passing aircraft was coming from. Way in the distance I saw a Smallish, swept back winged (Triangular) shaped , dot dissimilar to a microlight, , but the wing from the trailing edge to the fusilarge were not the same as any microlight I have ever seen, it had a pusher engine at the rear, with a tail that looked dihedaral, similar to a drone. This was moving at perhaps three to four times the speed of any microlight I have seen, (And also flown in) anyone any idea as to what this may be?.

That sounds really interesting!!
Takes me back to when i’ve seen weird things in the sky! The sighting I had back in the very late 80’s was the best. I dont often talk about any of it openly though so PM me if you’re interested.

Hi Lincoln
You are not the only one to see this `aircraft` in your area. I have seen sugestions from UAV to Raptor to Hawk.

Hi Ben. Thanks for the lead on what I saw, it was heading towards the WASH, so it would be heading seawards. I am pleased I am not the only one to have seen such a craft. There was no other aircraft with it, or if there was, it was way too high to see.
I hardly ever carry my dslr with the telephoto lense, as when I have, and gone to use it, the batteries have run down. I did however, yesterday go out and purchased an inverter,so I can plug the invertey into the car giggy lighter and charge up the batteries, (I have a spare set ready to use, and loaded)

Ben This is getting interesting, I first thought, “Should have gone to Specsavers”
as I would have sworn it was a UAV myself, I wonder, as we live fairly close to each other, if it is from a “Local airbase, anyone else seen this?.Perchance a test flight.

Yes, I suppose it could be a home made job, it just bugs me not to know what it was though.

No, but it could be a home-designed and built aircraft. I have seem similar, and they tend to sound like vacuum cleaners.
