On July 31, 2010, at 12-30 a.m. some cars were crushed aboard the “Bohus” while they were unloaded at Strömstad. A hanging car deck on port side was raised instead of lowered during this operation with the result that the cars were pressed against the deck above. Some passengers inside the cars panicked when the metal and the windows of their cars broke and their roofs were pushed down, until the crew realized the danger and stopped the process. All escaped safe.
