The film was produced by the same guys that did Airplane! He’s a former liberal who decided to make a film making light of Hollywood liberals.
It got fairly good reviews, but the entertainment media ignored it because they didn’t want to offend any of the liberal stars and perhaps get a “bad” reputation or have their access cut off from them.
