Let me try that again! 😮
(Why can’t I edit my thread title?)

I guess you could say that the people who live there are pretty `special`

Not a lot, as benyboy can verify that being closer to the place than I am…:diablo:

Thanks for spotting my mistake…..although the original ‘Goole’ title seemed to generate more interest! 😀
I’m not surprised. Most readers would have been wondering what was special about the homepage for a small town in Yorkshire, unless they live there:D

This thread has lost me already.
Sorry, yes, very much yesterday’s news today!
As you may know the Google homepage logo often changes to commemorate certain anniversaries, well yesterday (29th June) Google was commemorating the birthday of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry with an illustration depicting part of the story of The Little Prince (Le Petit Prince), written by Saint-Exupéry.
This thread was originally in Historic Aviation because of Saint-Exupéry’s aviation exploits (after a bit of a false start when I suggested in the thread title that people check-out the Goole homepage :o).
