Another Arab Israeli war?

So, how long for this one to last before Israel flattens the Arabs?

South Pole????;)

Perhaps you’d prefer the Jews should go back to Poland and Germany?

…and trust me, I’ve been in this forum long enough to not even try sarcasm and irony on brittish or americans, It always gets me into trouple…

And since it’s coming from an unexpected place, let me assure you that the comment above is irony…for recent context, Google “Helen Thomas (an elderly American Journalist) and Jews Poland Germany”

So if your idea of being deadly serious is to create a new state for the Israelis at the South Pole then I don’t think I can contribute much more to our debate.

IMO “weak” president in US is a good thing, it gives slack to those waiting to get to be issued “freedom”…

….so I’m death serious:dev2:

Weak leadership in the US is not a good thing. They’ve swapped one poor leader for another, exacerbated by the fact that the expectations were always far too high.

As for your second point I presume that is a Finn putting his tongue in his cheek, is it?;)

Give Obama a break, I mean how can anyone solve the conflict between Arabs and Isrealians? You can only solve it by the same way you started it, artificially greate a new nation for Isrealians somewhere there isen’t any existing population so none would be forced out of their homes..

…With this global warming and stuff, South Pole????;)

Probably not. But it is certainly doing little to temper Iran’s hotheadedness and thereby its surrogate, Syria. Israel will be feeling more exposed but cannot afford outwardly hostile action in case US support is not 100% forthcoming.

Obama’s lack of experience and his indecisiveness and his failure to “position” the USA globally, will certainly contribute nothing to trying to find a solution to the Arab/Israel conflict.

Unlikely. As far as I’m concerned, there isen’t any unite strong arab world which would be bold enough to attack Israel. Syria nor even Iran alone wont do it, they aren’t that mad. If Isreal is the attacker, well thats a different story. Israel seems to be quite blatantly ignoring all international comdemns and warnings when it decides to do something. If it thinks it has some reasons to attack lets say Syria, I wont that it will do it.

But if the relations between USA are already alledgedly in not so good state, then I think last thing Israel wants to do is to attack a sovreign nation and risk it really becoming a seccond South Africa which it’s slowly but steadily transfering itself with it’s policy towards the Palestinian people.

…Obama’s weakness and vascillation in the Middle East has exacerbated the problems.

Well you think Hizzbollah and Hamas + all the other assorted bands down there will just sit iddle and watch the perfect opportunity to pass by…??

Here’s a serious (hopefully non-flaming) question…

Do you think Israeli weakness/problems and Obama’s perceived lack of support has made an Israeli-Arab/Palestinian war more likely?

I’m talking conventional war, country to country not a partisan type engagement.

Given Israeli performance in the last “war” against Hizbollah, Id say a long time…

Iran is the key. And Obama’s weakness and vascillation in the Middle East has exacerbated the problems.
