Now you all may of watched Faking it on the T.V, a show that puts people in a career they are unfamiliar with and then trys to tern them into that job type and confuse a judge of who is the fake. Mel Gibsons helicopter pilot did just that but avoided the media during this event.
Police had descovered that Mel Gibsons helicopter pilot was not really a helicopter pilot and that he had had a few dozen lessons or so in a B206, copied a CPL off Google. (You can get aqnything off Google) If this was not going to the limit he then filled in his 500hours in his log book and applied for the position, and then took the job, he has flown Mel all over the U.S and acted as his personal pilot in other countrets when he has been away.
When Mel had let him borrow some money he refused to pay it and when police investigated via the FAA they found out that he had no licence and only 40hours in Jetrangers.
He has been doing it 10years and well just think if he had kept his nose down he would of gotten away with it, lucky he didn’t.

Oh I get lost all the time… I know when I am as a map is brought down sharply on the back of my head, after failing to identify the three landmarks that are not there, as I am over the wrong town.
I will learn. Slowly!!

Oh yes I urm passed My NAV today at 76%, I know its cutting the cake thin but a pass is a pass.
Bravo!
I’m sure you’ll never get lost. If people ask you to, just ignore them. 🙂
Did they teach you how to fold the map? Did they show you that Stokenchurch mast has disappeared off the maps, but is still sticks up 1121 feet above sea level? Did they show you how to find this out on the Internet? If the answer is ‘no’ to any one of the above, go and pester your instructor for leaving holes in your knowledge.
So, what is your next exam and when is it?

I wouldn’t say I don’t trust the CAA, many of them do a great job. You just feel you get charged more by them, then say the FAA.
Then again everything is cheaper in the USA.
We don’t have to like the CAA but at least we can fly because of them.

Only way to make money in aviation is to join the CAA… 🙂
Isnt that correct, they are most likely more untrusty than all of those PPLS who have been offered some dosh. Ofcourse none of us would take it.

Robbo: You’ve just given me an idea for making money out of aviation. Posing for nose art. Brilliant!
Robert, why don’t you do that?
By: Chipmunk Carol - 2nd June 2004 at 10:52
I get everywhere!
(If anyone wants the credit for taking this photo, please let me know!)
By: Chipmunk Carol - 2nd June 2004 at 10:15
Very amusing. You didn’t know that I had modelled for the nose art.
By: Chipmunk Carol - 2nd June 2004 at 09:53
