dark light

So what's on YOUR bucket list ?

Getting caught up in a traffic jam of old ladies and their walking frames this morning made me think that life is short , time is fleeting , and it’ll be My Turn Next.
With this in mind, it’s time to start doing those things I’d really like to do before I ring down the curtain and join the choir invisible like Monty Python’s dead parrot.
Top thing has to be get a flight in a flying-boat that actually involves contact with water , but I’d also like to see Van Morrison live , walk the Milford track in New Zealand , visit Mauritius and Rorke’s Drift and get together with my thirteen lady penfriends in front of Kermit Weeks’ Sunderland in Florida.
Anyone else got a list of things they’d really, really like to do before it’s too late ?

As to your second wish – is that as an observer……….?;)

I thought the three of us could share a nice Chardonnay and discuss literature and politics all night 😉 At my age anything else would be like trying to play pool with a piece of rope :diablo::rolleyes:

It only takes some patience, time and a little determination to decipher even the most confusing female behavior.:D

Only for another woman and then not always.:)

While I was down at Coventry earlier this week Nashio966 (Ben) was alluding to the fact that we northerners are less civilised than persons from his neck of the woods, and I believe he even refers to Derbyshire as Mau Mau territory! While in fairness I struggle to argue with the Derbyshire/Mau Mau reference, I felt I had to leap to the defence of Yorkshire, my home county. Honour demands it and all that…
He doubts we in Yorkshire have electric, reckons we dwell in mud huts, and that we still haggle in beads and turnips. I felt it my duty to inform him that he’s soooooo far behind the times, and that in fact the turnip was phased out as a form of currency in Yorkshire some years ago, due to several nasty fights and shedding of blood over the issue of giving change…

And we only rarely sacrifice chickens…

Ps. What’s wrong with sackcloth and woad?!;)

I’ve been meaning to ask you about your signature – are you in sackcloth and woad, whilst you’re dealing with the beads?:diablo:

I’d expect nothing else with a woman.
My 2 biggest wishes are 1) to see my Grandchildren grow up and 2)understand what makes a woman tick. I stand more chance of seeing my Great grandchildren grow up than I have of understanding women.

i hope to live long enough to see my Grandchildren grow up and have families

I’d like to be locked away in weekend cottage with Kate Beckinsale and Nicole Kidman

Yes, to the first, although whether or not I’ll make it to my great-children I doubt. As to your second wish – is that as an observer……….?;)
