A settlement of up to $657.5 million has been reached in the cases of thousands of rescue and cleanup workers at groundzero who sued the city over damage to their health. The settlement would compensate about 10,000 plaintiffs according to the severity of their illnesses and the level of their exposure to contaminants at the World Trade Center site.

Don’t sue anyone. That’s the problem. We no longer accept responsibility for our actions. The culture is if something is wrong with my life, then I’ll sue someone, because it must be their fault and nothing to do with me.

What did the City do wrong? At least sue the Government since they had information which could have thwarted the attacks. Otherwise sue Al Queda, have all their worldwide assets seized.
