Hi,
I am part of an organisation called “The Stirling Project”, the aims of which are to recreate a forward section of a stirling bomber (no mean feat you must admit!) Recently I have come up with a money generating idea (“The Stirling Project” is a registered charity) but it involves us obtaining a cockpit section. Does anybody out there know of such an item? Do you know of a cockpit that needs “saving”?
If anybody can help I would be very greatful.

I can’t help you in any way other than to wish you the best and also to suggest that you may have more success posting this appeal in the ‘Historic’ forum, if you haven’t already.
However I have just purchased on E-Bay a silk scarf once belonging to a Stirling pilot. When you’ve completed the project can I come and sit in it wearing my scarf? 😉 😉
