Seems like the world’s marketing dudes have decided that 15″ notebooks shall have either a uber-fine eye-killing 1920×1080, or a coarse 1366×768 screen, but never shalt they have 1680×1050. I want a slow and frugal 15″ with an i330, 4Gig RAM, small HD, with a 1680 screen. Can’t find one! Crazy. 🙁

Ever tried finding a 14” laptop under 1000€ ? Nowadays they either push useless netbooks, or ultra heavy 17” ones.
Have a look at the HP 6730b. Go on hp.com. You might like it. (Added plus: it has a com port)
