Car Audio usb stick

I have recently fitted a new cd/radio to my old smoker,it has a usb port which I am using as the main source,I have been using a sandisk cruzer stick but it is too long and ‘right in the way’ of my left hand going between gear lever and wheel.
I dont want to damage the unit so has anybody got any recommendations either for a very small usb stick or an ext lead with a 90 deg plug to take the wire straight down the dash.
I have looked at a couple of small usb sticks but they looked a little ‘flimsy’.

regards baz

(a) Now I see the relevance of the memstick in shot!
(b) My next ICE will have the USB option. A 20gb stick will cover most of the stuff I’m likely to listen to whilst motoring.

With WMP if I plug in a stick of at least 4Gb capacity -my whole music library automatically downloads to it 😀 excellent stuff.
Not quite cd quality but seems ntb on my stereo as long as I dont ‘pump up the volume’ too much LOL

Just in case this is useful to anybody…I did buy a Pico C 4Gb flash drive but couldnt get it to work with my stereo (worked ok on PC)
So I then bought an Integral 4Gb mini pen drive which specifically stated ok with car stereo…still would not work  so I googled the error code (error 23) and found it had to be formatted to Fat32 to wrk with a pioneer stereo.
Easy to format – just had to right click on it in ‘my computer’ 😀

Pico C size comparison with my old flash drive

integral mini fitted in car (tiny white blob !!)

Hadnt noticed sand on stereo-only just got back from a ‘coastal’ holiday LOL

Thing is that it is so small it isn’t even remotely flimsy. Mind you to the best of my knowledge she hasn’t been prising the lids off paint tins with it.

Moggy

thanks moggy…I will get one, better than an extension lead I think

You simply have no idea how tiny this is. Brilliant bit of kit. Mrs Moggy has one on her keyring (Just don’t use the chain they send with it to attach it. It’s too flimsy.

Or, worst case scenario, fit the radio upside down.:)

Hey…never thought of that 😀
That would definitely finish off my iffy aerial plug 😀
