Spinal Facet Disease.

Anyone here got (or know someone with) this complaint? Just got diagnosed this morning and want to know what to expect in the future.
Thanks

Well

As they say there is always someone worse off than yourself, a great friend of mine of 33 years was cremated today after committing suicide a week ago last Sunday in the most horrific manner.

Ivan, I know nothing about the disease mate but I assume you have researched it on the net? As people have said there could be a couple of great forums out there (like the one Steve posted)

just feeling old and miserable because everyone I care about is suffering in one way or another, and there ain’t a damn thing I can do about it ).

Bumblebee I know exactly how that feels right at this minute. My marriage of 6 years and 13 years together ended last friday and everything I knew has changed so we are all suffering. Also I have a new American girlfriend who is suffering too. She has cancer and a serious heart condition and we dont know how long she will last. And just in case you are wondering no she isnt the reason me and my wife split up.

Not an easy time for anyone.

Forums can be helpful, but my daughter found that a lot of the people who put posts up were mainly interested in moaning to fellow-sufferers about how bad they felt, and it all got a bit too depressing for her. There certainly doesn’t seem to be much available on the net for people wanting to discuss this specific condition .

My wife has fibromyalgia and she has found forums for this very helpful, along with her manager who also has it!! The doctor explained in great depth the reasons and treatment, but as bumble bee says, best to ask those that know it first hand. I can’t seem to find any help groups or forums on this here t’internet malarkey!! 😀 At least I know what it is thats been crippling me for 12 years!! Just put up with it and took lots of painkillers and bits of physio…. should have done something earlier…. consultant was not impressed with me or my GP!!

Of course a doctor can explain the condition best, but as I found out with my daughter’s illness ( fibromyalgia ),nobody can give you better information than someone who’s actually got it. ( I’m not picking on you Paul, just feeling old and miserable because everyone I care about is suffering in one way or another, and there ain’t a damn thing I can do about it ).

I understand, I just immediately thought perhaps there’s a better place to ask such a question than a forum like this. That’s all. 🙂

Is your doctor not the best person to ask?
