Is it just me – in my 41st year – starting to become a MOG ( Miserable Old Git ) or are commentators nowadays a very second best to those of past days ?

I’m thinking of names like Harry Carpenter, “Whispeing” Ted Lowe, Brian Johnston, Ron Pickering and the uncrowned king of them all, Bill MaLaren. These people were knowledgeable of their representitive sports and somehow seemed to bring you closer to the action then there modern counterparts seem to.

So who for you were the best of past years, and who do you rate in the present time ??
