Thanks

I’ve won 4 tickets to Legoland. Will be going in late Aug. For the real reasons, flight path interruptions will be annoying 🙂

What date you going mate??

Cheers, is it possible to get registrations through the naked eye or would binoculars be needed??

IIRC Legoland is near Windsor so the nearest London airport is Heathrow. When I was very young and went I remembered Concorde taking off and flying straight over there.

Photo of Concorde taken from the Legoland car park after a hard day keeping 2 kids happy on all the rides, including myself. Heathrow is about 7 miles away as the crow flies.

Isn’t the Danish Legoland in Billund. And also im in St Pancras soon, what is the closest airport to that and how far?
Thanks

Probably London City, around 6 or 7 miles away. You won’t see anything from St Pancras though.

weren’t Legoland supposed to be in Denmark?

That is the home of Lego. I went to the Legoland there for a birthday once before my teens and remember being in awe at it. We also stayed at the ‘Lego Hotel’ there.

If you want some real low stuff. Myrtle Avenue on the 27L approach is the place to be.

Thorpe Park is better 😉 and you see a fair amount of Heathrow traffic from there as well.

Been years since I went there. Legoland replaced the safari park they had there. You do get some stuff fly over, its not very very low but its enough to ID airline + type.

You can get some nice low stuff! mainly heavy jets banking out.
