Hello
Last week I got to spend an hour or so at East Midlands.
Ryanair are now a big operator at East Midlands – I saw 7 of their 737s during my visit, including EI-EBS:-

Before returning home I had a nose around the hangar area where I found this Cessna 402:-

It was a nice day, so the hangar doors were open, revealing BMI Bby 737 G-BVZE:-

Also in the hangar was the highlight of my visit, former Iceland Express G-STRN getting ready for a new life in Cambodia:-

I hope the photos are of interest – a few more can be found at http://www.flickr.com/photos/indiaecho/

G-STRZ is to become N965FD with FedEx. I think it flew to the states on the 8th Nov.

Thanks for your comments.
EGTC – the 757 was the former G-STRZ – I understand it now has a US registration.
MSR777 – I don’t know if the shop is still there, as it is many years now since I last visited the terminal. I spent many a happy day in years gone by in the terminal watching the comings and goings from either the balcony or lounge, and I always found time between the often lengthy gaps between movements to have a trip down to the shop.

Nice to see some EMA images. I don’t get up there much these days. There was a very good enthusiasts shop in the terminal and the guy that ran it was a real gent, I wonder if its still there.

Nice catches there.
Which airline does the B757 belong to thats next to G-STRN?
