Armavia and More ATRs at Southend.

It’s been relatively quiet at Southend this week, however there were a couple of interesting movements, one of which, and Air Astana A320 I missed by a couple of minutes this morning.
There was a good start on Monday with another Aer Lingus ATR, operated merged Waterford and Galway flights arrived in nice morning light.

I also photographed an ATR42 this morning from a previosly uncharted spotting location, with reasonable results on a very cloudy day.

However the highlight of the week was an Armavia A320 arriving from Yerevan for end of lease maintainence at Southend, although the light wasn’t as good as I’d hoped.

It’s been a bit dull on the movements front at Southend this week, however the development work is progressing very fast with the majority of the tarmac for the runway extension laid, and the new passenger terminal nearing completion. Southend Airport will be a very different place next year.

I hope this is of interest, albeit a bit of a anticlimax from my last photographs of M-STAR!

Thanks, there certainly can be some great movements at Southend, it’s juts a shame they are few and far between.
