Hi Alan….A little late in replying but according to my surfing I came up with a site that states the “M “prefix has been in use since 1 May 2007. I will put a link so as you can check it out. http://www.homepages.mcb.net/bones/Manx_Register/ManxRegister.htm I hope this helps and thanks for looking..:)

I understand the Lear jet is registered in the Isle of Man ?
I must have led a sheltered life, but I don’t recall ever seeing a civil registered
aircraft with an M prefix before. How long has this been in use ?

Thanks to the local spotters Keith and the Ant’s,it certainly is a surprise going there and watching with glee as to what the twinkly lights will be:rolleyes::) when they get nearer and reveal another Gulfstream or Global Express.
According to one source the one G/E I got hadn’t previously visited:eek::);)so a catch on my first trip.I wonder where those trailer bound white 76s will end up?.See you all at the local sometime…. Thanks also Rob
