Eartha Kitt, the sensual singer, dancer and actress who rose from modest rural roots to captivate international audiences with her sultry voice and style, died Thursday at the age of 81.

Funny enough i’ve never found her to be sensual at all.. in fact i thought she was very unattractive..but she knew how to belt out a song

Plenty to look back on when the time finally comes too.
I’d like to be able to find great solace in that remark, but am finding it quite hard.:D

The thing that annoys me most about obits, is that it won’t be long before someone is writing mine, although it won’t take them long
Give over, Jose. If I can be allowed to mix metaphors (it’s Christmas, after all) you may be no spring chicken, but there’s life in the old dog yet. 😀 Plenty to look back on when the time finally comes too.

Hope Jim Royle didn’t say anything unfortunate last night.

I best remember Eartha for, “Just an Old Fashioned Girl.”
And yes, she found ‘an old fashioned millionaire’ or three on her travels.
She’s listed in my hall of fame, alongside the likes of, Loren, Bardot, and Munroe.
