Had some real a**** h**** when I lived in a flat. a drunk insoniac who loved last night of the proms upstairs. Two blokes rented a flat and had 3 am raves. Took 2 months before the landlords chucked them out – got one of them into my flat one day to show him the ceiling shaking etc – he agreed it was bad then turned it off. For 30 mins. Ended up calling the letting agency and leaving my phone connected to their answer phone so they could listen to the music themselves.

More recently, a neighbour left their 18 year old daughter alone – dreaded party kicked off. Nightmare, damage to my fence, music until past 3 am – parents told me that they had alcohol issues with her since she was 13. And you missed these clues why Sherlock ????

Nothing worse than falling out with the neighbours – or indeed upsetting them, second day in our house (it has a shared drive) we had a vistor who blocked off a garage, neighbour wigged out. Went round next day with an apology PDQ.

I live right on the ocean so my only neighbour is a fair way away..most other homes in the area are holiday retreats so fortunately we enjoy a peaceful existence

We used to live next door to someone who played trance music loudly quite often. We had a garage in between, so the noise wasn’t too bad with the windows closed, but it was unpleasant in summer. Apart from the noise he never caused us any trouble, but some of his friends seemd very dodgy.

We suspected that something was going on because he frequently had visitors who called for a couple of minutes and then left looking shifty. One day my wife saw someone being carried out of the house to an ambulance, and saw on the local TV news later that he had died in hospital of a heroin overdose. Our neighbour was arrested on suspicion of administering the overdose and wasn’t around for several months.

The house was owned by the neighbour’s grandparents who had taken pity on him but when one of them died the rest of the family chucked him out, alhough he managed to live in the garage for a couple of weeks. One night he let off a load of fireworks in the garage (while he was still in it), but miraculously it didn’t catch fire. Much to our relief he left after that.

Don’t have any neighbours here, it’s heaven.

A few nights ago, a fox was outside barking for an hour or so and wild boar tramp round the fields, grunting merrily as they eat a few of our almonds once each year, but on the whole it’s very peaceful.

My neighbour cuts the grass and takes the bins out when I’m away on jobs. No complaints really…:D

Yes. Well, I did have.

When I still lived at home, our neighbour was a total vindictive cow! She kept phoning the police, insisting that we were having parties all the time (as if!), had been throwing bricks at her windows, and have even managed to pull her satellite dish off the exterior wall!

And we’ve STILL no idea why she did it!

When I moved into my flat, the woman above us kept accusing my flatmate of sleeping with her boyfriend – and even accused us of harbouring him in the flat while she was out! She then kept pestering us night and day – hammering on the letter box, yelling through it, screaming and hurling abuse at us…

Can’t tell you how many times we called the police out on her – but it was a lot!
