British MP and shadow immigration minister Damian Green was arrested, by counter terrorism police, over leaks of unclassified, information from the Home Office.
One of the great pillars of UK democracy is the translucent nature of its institutions through such activities. One of the most famous being Duncan Sandys use of leaked information to attack the government for its policy of appeasement to Nazi Germany and the state of Britains air defences in the late 1930s. His position and parliamentary privilege were upheld.
Despite the protestations of Jackie Smith, I believe that this is another example of the transition of ‘New Labour’ from a driven modernist party (at least for appearances sake) to nothing more than a band of power and control obsessed intellectual cretins whose insidious desire to undermine the very principles and ideologies that have for so long underpinned the democracy and freedom that British society and culture are rooted in. Such efforts are exemplified by the 42 day detention plans and proposals for I.D cards despite the overwhelming evidence of their inefficiency.

I’ve long ago learned that Government of any colour is inept and corrupt.
I’m hveing some of that corruption at next vote. Whichever slimeball offers me £10 to vote, I will do so. No matter who. As a man of my word I will vote that way too.
