Old tools and Manuals

Recently I have been called mindless for dumping manuals and tools after 50 odd years in the air craft game.

My question is what does one do with wire locking pliers or K-Lock spanners, there are not many cars that have these type of nut or bolt ( Unless you buy the car from an aircraft engineer ) and as for manuals how many people keep their Haynes manual after they sell the car.
Finally what other use is there for cranked spanners to do up the bolts behind the cans of a Goblin or Ghost.
Any ideas.

Oh dear, I’m afraid I do.
Somewhere I’ve got the maker’s service manual for the van that doubled as a family car in the 1960s. There are only three or four survivors in the UK, one of whom is local and I know its owner slightly.
Spoke to him on the phone a few weeks back. Guess what? He’s already got a copy of the workshop manual.
So it’s still sitting in a bookcase. It’ll still be there in 20 years, I reckon.
*sigh*

eBay! 🙂

(Don’t take the ‘insults’ seriously, they weren’t meant that way; you’ll know when they are on this forum! :D)

In answer to your question…
Offer them to museums/restoration projects?

Some people enjoy old manuals & tools you know.
