I put my American Airlines Boeing 767-200 model in a prominent place on the mantel as tribute yesterday for one day only. T’was a terrible event and I can still recall the phone call from my Brooklyn friend who went up to Brooklyn Heights to see what was going on and witnessed the 2nd collision… Thankfully his wife, a para-legal in Manhattan was out of the office that morning.

…But muslims died on September 11th 2001 as well. I’m equally sick and tired of the enemy within who use our society, our laws and our liberal outlook to cloak their evil. But not all Catholic Irishmen were I.R.A, not all Germans were Nazis and not all Muslims are Al-Queda.

Well said,
its taken along time for something resembling normality to resume in my community.May be not in essex.
I know many muslims that were shocked and disturbed by the events on the 11th of september as well as other faiths. But saying “Pity that Mecca wasn’t turned into a pile of nuclear rubble as a conequence” is a bit off.

Rest assured, I personally hadn’t forgotten, Pete…

It is somewhat ironic that just after midnight, I was putting the finishing touches to my B-52H model…

Myself and my partner held our own personal act of remembrance this morning.
I think we can all recall exactly what we were doing on the day itself, I recall watching events unfolding on T.V. (Like yourself, I too saw the second ‘plane hit ‘live’), and following the events on Airdisaster.com.

The victims of this atrocity will not be forgotten.

All or just some?

Oh dear, we’ve all forgotten haven’t we.
Something inside me triggered a thought while watching GMTV this morning.
I remember the day well, my ex-wife had kindly allowed me to store some of my furniture in her garage, I hired a van to move it, was loading stuff when both her and my partner suggested I used my house key to watch it on Sky News, I did, it was horrific, I saw the second plane hit the building live, it was an awfull thing to witness.
We were quite honest with our kids about it afterwards, it hasn’t meant much to them subsequently anyway, but it should.
Lets think today about all those innocent people that died.
