Can I ask what the difference is between canberratt18 starting these threads here when he is obviously only copying the fine example set by the You Tube Music thread which is a playground some 19 pages long and perpetuated in the main by barrythemod? If there’s no place for one then there’s no place for the other?

I thought his Extras show was quite funny

I loved some of “Extras”, hated other bits.

It seems ewhen he doesn’t have anything clever, he stoops to what I call “cringe” comedy.
That’s where people do or say outragous things or become victims of impossible circumstances.
Two “Extras” episodes come to mind, the one where he’s at the BAFTRA (?) awards, and the one where the stupid girl dates the black man.
(IMHO Seinfled also stooped to a lot of cringe comedy as well).

Extras was terribly uneven…it’s like Gervais couldn’t decide whether his character was a complete fame seeking idiot, or a nice guy that really did want to do something worthwhile. When he was stupid in the former episodes, he was too stupid for the character to be believable in the latter situations.

I was (somewhat) sad to see it end.

Personally, mine has won 3.

Gervais? I can take him or leave him. He’s OK in small doses. His stand-up is better than his TV series.

I think you’ll find that most of us are already familiar with Mr Gervais and his… ahem… ‘comedy genius©’.

And do not presume to hand out instructions to the moderators and then hastily edit away the evidence, laddie! That way lies weeping and wailing, the beating of breasts and the gnashing of teeth in outer darkness.This is no namby-pamby tree-hugging democracy…. :diablo:
