The girl who sang “The Man with the Child in his Eyes” and “Wuthering Heights” and many more is 50 today! I’m glad, honoured, privileged and lucky to be alive in your days, Kate. You have always been and will always be the most wonderful of the wonderful.

There’s nothing wrong with red wine, either. 😀

I was less than ten years old when I developed my appreciation for all things Kate, how’s that for early development ? Wuthering Heights, Babooshka, The Man With the Child in His Eyes, Wow !!! All classics and still sound amazing today…
I often hum ‘Wow’ to myself any time I find myself working with the thespians…. lol

Oof! well I’m getting it now aren’t I?
Didn’t think it would come across so whimsical.
Must have been the heat
or the red wine
or the combination of both!;)
Hey, there’s nothing wrong with expressing your feelings for someones music. People who mock it simply have a shallower understanding of things. 🙂

That said, I’ve never really been into Kate Bush. Her voice does grate on me slightly, although her lines in Peter Gabriel’s ‘Don’t Give Up’ were sung with a beautiful sensitivity very much appropriate for the track.

Happy birthday from me too! She’s catching me up.
By coincidence I was watching ‘The Golden Compass’ the other day and suddenly realised that the person singing over the end credits was in fact Kate Bush, thats the first time I’ve heard anything from her for a long time.
A great talent in all respects, even her promo videos tended to be rather good, I was very surprised when she didn’t maintain her early creative momentum, whether she will ever produce the goods again is anyones guess.
