Amazing.
She only sailed for 5 months too.

The cold fresh water has obviously kept the wood good.

I have a great enthusiasm for old ships, to see a vessel like this with it’s masts still intact is incredible, I wouldn’t have thought it possible for anything like this to survive in such good condition.
Problem is, if the technology was available to raise it intact, what then, the Mary Rose has been sitting in a mist of water for the past 26 years, is it the same for the Vasa.
It has to be left where it is until future generations can find a way of dealing with it properly, after all this time, it’s state of decay isn’t going to change much, or is it.

She looks to be in amazing condition! 😮

Shame there are no plans to raise her…
