A Very Different Kind Of Photography For Me – My Brother's Wedding!

Hi All,

Just thought I’d share a few images from my Bro’s wedding yesterday. I have to admit I was a little nervous about the day as I’ve never shot a wedding before in my life and it’s something I’m really not used to! It’s always good to do something new though!

My bro Alan and nephew Jack the night before:

Jack after we stuck a frog to his forehead. He beat both me and Alan up shortly after!

Both families. I’m the guy on the extreme left. First time I’ve worn a suit for about 5 years!

Alan and my now sis-in-Law, Amanda. “What have I done?!”

And the cutting of the cake…

Isn’t it funny how there’s always one ugly person in a family

You really have displayed your true photographic ability. You have shown how versatile your skill is, shooting subjects other than aviation, still maintaining a high level of standard.
Well done mate, you should be proud of yourself, and your brother,
Adam

I think you did them proud.

I’d swear that was at Blackpool Reg. office if you weren’t from Bratfid.

Is that your twin brother in that suit, Paul? :p

😀

Thankyou very much, guys. I suppose I was the official photographer, Scotty! It really was an eye opener shooting something like a wedding and I have to say, considering I was quite nervous about it for a few days prior I actually really enjoyed it. It’s so different to shooting aviation or the landscape-type stuff I’m more familiar with and it was great from an experience point of view. Now I just have to work on some edits that are good for printing (with kind advice from fellow forum member Mark Winterbourne!)

Thanks again!

Paul

Excellent stuff,Paul
Not sure if you meant you were the “official photographer”, extra well done if so…. takes a hell of a lot of bottle to shoot what is essentially (meant to be:diablo: )the happiest day in a couples life. Those shots are fabulous so no worries on that score… i got asked to do a mates wedding once, absolutely no way… i was’nt up for having the onus of “once in a lifetime” type shots on my shoulder…. nowhere near that level of photography.
Hats off to you sir.

Agreed, Scotty.

I’ve been asked to “shoot” weddings for friends on a number of occasions, and I’ve always refused because I’d quite like them to stay friends.

Is that your twin brother in that suit, Paul? :p
