I split up with mine just before Valentines Day….so I just stayed in bed.
Her family have been causing a lot of trouble just because I “work for the RAF”…..I’m an instructor with the ATC….hardly flaming armed combat is it?????
Yet they “don’t agree” with violence. Damn, I almost forgot that her grandfather was in the RAF AND….wait for it….her father used to get drunk every night, and beat up her mother!!!!!!
Great example.
The RAF won’t have me yet but I am about to start training to fly microlights. Once I’ve logged enough hours I intend to get my instructors rating and start a flying school in my area.
Her parents say I should stop ‘daydreaming’ and just do a normal job like everyone else. I’m ****ing sick of this notion around here that if you have an ambition or a dream, you are a retard and a head-case…..it makes me sick!!!!
By the way, hi guy’s…I’m back!!!
Mark 🙂

She wont eat choc or of the like, which is a bonus, as shallow as I am, I cannot stand fat women.

We also decided it was a load of commercial rubbish and not to bother, but then I spotted a lovely, unique Victorian photograph in our local museum, of horses bathing in the sea off the Kent coast, well I had to order a copy for my equine orientated mate, and of course the truth got teased out of me, not the whole truth, but enough to make the silly girl make me a card, and buy me a very large bar of Galaxy, yummm, as well as the new Radiohead CD, Mr Rowell will shudder at that, but you should have seen them on Jools Holland the other week, awsome.
Unfortunately during my furtive trip to town late yesterday, the print wasn’t ready, so I had to wait for her to go to bed last night and make my own card.
Easy peasy, I down loaded a picture of a rare, period, ‘All you need is Love’ duvet cover from the Liverpool Museum web site and glued it to a piece of card from her art box, sounds crap, but it looked the business. She was well impressed and wondered where the hell I’d bought it from, so it all got a bit silly in the end, but a bit of a laugh this morning as we were staggering about in a daze, trying to make butties, feed dogs, while I’m downloading information on hydraulic breaking surface water chambers, romantic start to the day, huh.

They estimate 85% of all Valentines cards and gifts are purchased by Women
The 15% of males must have been the bunch I saw in my local card shop yesterday then ! 😀

As a female I have always hated the commercialism of it. I told my husband if he wanted to mark the day spend £2.99 on a bunch of flowers from the co-op – non of this £5 for a rose! I want to feel appreicated every day, and I am, so Im lucky, every day is Valentines Day!:D
{Blush}
Thought you were a chap.
Send yer man to Aldi and get twice as many flowers for £2.99 and they will last a damn sight longer too.

I know its not going to be a popular comment but I dont really celebrate Valentines Day as I’m happily married and we do nice things for each other whenever we can – just dont think it should focus on one day, but thats just me – its just very commercial.
You are dead right, in the tradition of things.
But as a male, you are wrong in the eyes of the female. 🙂
My wife would support the view if I wanted to ignore the day, she hates commercialisation and money wasting. She even hates shopping….for food OR clothes.
As I said, flowers frequently anyway, she will like the card and chocs…most of which I will eat 😉

I totally agree with Snaps..it’s just commercial bull**** thrust upon us by our American cousins

Chocs and a card. I get her flowers weekly anyway.
Got to be done. Foreplay is a 24/7 role.
But the gremlin inside me SHOUTS LIKE HELL at the fact that a card costs nearly £3. I could make better myself…in fact next year I will!
