OK so I recently found a thing called a negative scanner and this evening while rummaging in the loft found a long lost brown envelope stuffed with all my aircraft negatives, well nearly all as I suspect I’ve got more. Anyway, first go at using this piece of technological whatsitthingamy. Apologies for the poor quality but this is from 1976, demonstrator Concorde (F-BTSS? if I remember correctly) at kai Tak, Hong Kong. This photo was taken while we ‘looked after it’ on the RAF part of the airfield.

I’m fairly sure I’ve got a CAAC Trident lurking but they were rare visitors but DC8s, Convairs, Caravelles, 707s and the ‘new’ DC10 and Tristars and, not sure if I captured them on film, Air America C46s 😀

Well I spent 2 years living on the airfield with a great view from my room across the airport so I photographed nearly everything that passed through. Anything you’re particularly interested in?
I enjoy any ‘old airliner’ shots, so it would be great to see anything that you have. Mind you, I could also be party to any CAAC craft.:)

How about some CAAC Trident’s….:D
Quite possibly but it will take me a while to sort through the ton of negs I’ve got!

Thanks for the correction on the registration, I couldn’t really remember – it was 35 years ago! I’ve got about 3 rolls of film of this aircraft on the ground and in the air over Hong Kong, including some of the party for the VIPs

Very interesting shot,as the aircraft has the BOAC speedbird on it as well as the Air France livery which leads me to the registration F-WTSA which was used during the proving/noise testing at JFK.:D
