Hi all
Had a job to Gothenburg, on completion i had to stay overnight which meant a couple of hours opportunity to visit Lanvetter.. all the way to Gothenburg was clear blue skies, but had to rush to make delivery on time, so no chance to stop anywhere en route… unfortunately the following morning the clouds rolled in bringing snow, these shots were taken before the snow descended.
Lanvetter is quite a busy airport, the shots were taken from the SAS cargo car park which offers a decent view of taxiing and landing aircraft on RW21 probably till about midday, after which the sun is in front of you, i looked around the southern perimeter area and could find nowhere that offered views of the airport from the south:

Last shot was taken a couple of miles out from the runway, not the best shot ever due to the poor light, but gives an idea of the type of shot that can be got outwith the airport.
That’s all folks!

Very nice pics:) – used to be in and out of there a few years ago and I always liked it. The ideal airport size, for me…………

Went on a staff ‘freebie’ there one Sunday, from STN, courtesy of SAS with a DC9-40. The landing was in driving snow, no problem for those SAS folks. The return that evening, was on a Sterling Caravelle 10B. Did a similar day trip to Arlanda, on a Scanair DC8-63. Return to STN, was onboard a Transwede MD80.
Happy days:) Great pics. Nice to see that SAS ‘mad dog’.
