A rather expensive plate of fish and chips

Would you pay that much for a meal??

Nice to see somebody rolling over the city types with more money than sense.

Well done to the restaurant in my opinion.

Like any true britisher, I am a fan of good fish and chips, but I find it so rare to find a truly decent establishment these days, perhaps I am just fussy.

As for this, it just speaks of the decadent age we live in.

£3:50 up at our local chip oil in town and they are out of this world, the cod is cooked and battered to perfection and won’t fit on yer plate, and the amount of perfectly formed and cooked chips usually requires a second plate.

We can get Russian caviar sent over from Hungary for next to nothing, go on holiday to Cornwall and buy a nice freshly cooked lobster from Port Isaac for a tenner, or if you live round here, go to that ‘posh’ shop just outside Colchester and buy a huge, freshly cooked Cromer lobster for £25 or a massive dressed crab thats out of this world for a fiver, and a decent Rothschild white from the local Sainsburies for less than a tenner too.
And as for the cheeses, well, the skies the limit for bog all.

It makes you puke to think that people exist who are prepared to spend this amount of money on promoting their egos.

dare I say… obscene! and to think there are ‘boobs’ the world over who will happily fork over the corporate card (or the cash) for it… I’d rather settle for ‘market value’ lobster and prawns on a BBQ (with a quart of Saigon) from a street vendor in Nha Trang, than spend more than I make in a month for something that someone else has said deserves to be ‘this’ expensive.
