At saturday I become a father to a little baby girl:) Hopefully I can get her interested in Warbirds rather than Barbie and Bratz dolls.
Her first Airshow: Kjeller May 2008.Maybe the replica Farman flies??
Her first Warbird trip: Kjeller May 2008 Dc 3 Dakota??
Gift for her 1 years birthay: A trip in the Max Holste Broussard:)
The Broussard is a good family Warbird and theres a good space for childrens car seat and other neccesary equipment:D

That’s what I like to hear. Going to airshows as a family. You wouldn’t get my wife near an airshow unless there was somewhere close at hand where she could go and spend my money 😀
Wish you a merry christmas and happy new year:)

A merry Chrismas and ahappy new year to you and your family, enjoy yourself.
That’s it, spark her interest in aviation early regardless of what her mum says:D My son is talking about taking my grandson and granddaughter to Legends next year. Ellie is due in March so she’ll only be about four months or so by then and Thomas will be just over a year. We have to start them young before they start thinking for themselves:)
Thanks Mike.I hope they having Flying Legends then. All three of us will fly to London during winter 08,and then DC 3(Kjeller air show 2008) in May and Broussard later on. 😀 And mum???Shes coming with us of course:D

Hearty congratulations young sir. Make the most of her being a baby as they grow up far too quickly. You just start enjoying the being babies when they stop being babies. When she’s a teenager and starts brining boyfriends home you’ll think that it was only five minutes ago she was a little baby.
Thanks Mike.

Congratulations LN, to have a baby just before Xmas is a magical experience, it really makes it a special day and like no other that has gone before.
I waited till my son was 18 months old before he went to his first airshow, just make sure it hasn’t got any noisy jets.
By then he could walk and garble volumes, one of his favourite toys was a Matchbox Tornado, great, we took him to Wethersfield, he sat happily in his baby seat with the toy Tornado and when we parked up, a real Tornado was waiting for take off at the end of the runway at the time, woo hoo how exciting, I’m seeing one for the first time.
The mood changed when it took off in full reheat, lots of tears and screams I’m afraid.
I took a little tent with me to keep him out the sun, luckily for me, as every time a jet appeared, he hid in it, even from the sublime VC-10.
As he got older, I think that airshows became more of a source of funfair rides and toy stalls, rather than the flying part, he’s now 22 and at uni, had some great flying experiences including circumnavigating Kilimanjairo in a light aircraft, but I’m afraid he’d rather go clubbing than airshowing.
Have a fantastic Christmas with baby.
All the best, Pete.
Thanks Pete for sharing your memories an experiences. Some of the guys in Warbirds of Norway has younger children so hopefully (and maybe) they will become interested in old aeroplane. We lives near Kjeller airport(ENKJ) and having opportunities to watch helicopters, warbirds, and commercial jets from our flat.:D
At Kjeller I will put the ear protection on her when the F 16s starts their displays. Thanks for the tip
I wish you a merry christmas
