beatles value for money records

when the fab four began recording i bought their records obviously because i liked their music but also because their B sides were of an equally high standard unlike the then current recording stars both UK and US who tended to put out mediocre B sides (or fillups) their(the beatles) example started a trend as from that point B sides were better quality, good on em!

When you consider that all the world had pre-Beatles were Cliff Richard and The Shadows, Elvis Presley, and a load of left-overs from a previous era – Sinatra, Matt Munro, etc etc it should come as no surprise that their music was seized upon.

I know – I was there.

Moggy

That “previous era” music was all that was played on national radio(the BBC Light Program) in the early 60’s.Thank God for the Pirates-London,Caroline,North Sea International, even Radio Luxemburg(God bless ’em). Finally,we had a free choice of what kind of music WE wanted to listen to,played by people we could identify with.
I was there to,sitting in a car on a cliff-top,listening to the radio, turning the head-lights on and off when Johnny Walker gave the word:cool: .

The Fab four were a world phenomenon in the sixties..if they’d recorded the chicken song it would have been a number one hit ..such was their adulation

But was Excalibur ever in the stone?

There is a body of opinion that holds that Excalibur was the sword given to Arthur by the lady in the lake and then returned to her (eventually) as Arthur (not ours) was dying…..

That’s certainly the version of the legend that’s familiar to me.

Certainly this makes more sense than the mighty Excalibur being the sword that broke, requiring its replacement from the underwater stockpile.

You might also like to debate whether the constant tugging of all the lesser mortals trying to get Sword One out of the stone prior to Arthur’s arrival was the cause of its early failure

The SAIB are investigating and will issue a report shortly.

another one:)

I think what we’re seeing here is a fairly typical Human response to nonsense. You post a nonsense thread, and people respond with… You guessed it! Nonsense.

Post something at least part way sensible, and you run the considerable risk of those who possess a bizarre thing called (insert Dr Evil inverted commas here) ‘sense’, responding to your post in a (insert Dr Evil inverted commas here) ‘sensible’ way.

The choice is yours. Choose wisely!

Paul… Sarcastic, but probably saying what others were thinking…

i believe excalibur is in a stone quite near to where you reside ,fancy a pull arthur thats P. U .L. L .:)

You’re going to provide some chopping material, I reckon?

Seriously, if you want easy attention, you can do that easily without bothering webboards like this. Just go to your local playground, undress yourself, and touch yourself in those special places. You’ll be making headlines. If that’s a bit too much for your liking, then take a crash course in interpunction and the proper use of capitals. If that’s too much asked, please stop bothering us with your banale drivvel. If I want to hear lowbrow nagging, there are better places than these boards. Better yet, there are places which aren’t paid for by the buyers subscribers and advertisers of Key Publishing.

Take your tricks elsewhere. Please. In the end, you’ll be pleasing yourself.
