Good day all,
To kick of 2011 as a spotting year I visited Frankfurt (FRA/EDDF) on the 3rd of January with a friend.
Sorry for the late posting but I didn’t want to rush the editing process.
We got in the car at 03:30am and arrived around 8 o’clock, just in time for the sunrise. Weather forecast wasn’t good but it turned out to be a lot better than predicted.
Temperature was all day around freezing point. We did see 3 of the 4 A380’s Lufthansa currently has so that’s not bad.

There is a platform next to the K823 ”airportring”. In the South-West corner is some room to park your car (left circle). The you can walk allong the road a little slope (yellow line). You will see the spotting area it’s not big but is sommeting. There is also an anoying fence so maybe its an idea to bring a ladder or improvise a little.

Mighty fine selection, and well done surviving the cold on the bridge!! i was at that spot myself a couple of weeks ago for a few hours brrrr!!… Where did you shoot the RW18 shots from? and is it vehicle accessible.. i have been passing FRA almost weekly past couple of months and would like some 18 shots.
