Whinge Thread – Things That Just Spoil Your Day!

OK… Time for a whinge thread! Here’s a place to rant about those things that happen during a normal day that just ruin it completely.

As anyone who knows me is aware, my absolute prized possession, even more than my 30D is my G&L bass. After a couple of concerts in France a few months ago, I noticed some hairline cracks appearing around the controls (no doubt due to being violently thrown in and out of the hold of an A319). Today my baby fell from her stand, the controls hit the floor and a big gaping hole appeared in my No.1 instrument.

I’ve just been playing for about an hour and a half and everything still works perfectly. The neck is still beautiful which is by far the most important thing, so I guess it could be much worse. Myself and fellow forum member Jason Nicholls are heading to LHR tomorrow to fly to Cyprus early Tuesday morning, so I’ve been quite happy all day until this happened. Now when I return I have to find someone to fix my poor injured bass.
