MAN 11-06-05 (Part Two)

I decided that being a dial up user myself I should break the thread into two parts and this seemed the convenient place to start part two. And also the perfect time to sample one of the AVP’s excellent bacon barms. Hypoglycaemic crisis averted it was back to the fray….

Thomsonfly 767.
BA Dash 8.
BMI A320.

Grand shots Kev 😀

and only hope it is replaced by something equally good should it be lost in MAN’s expansion plans.

Apparently the BHX outdoor viewing area will be gone with the expansion of Terminal Two for more aircraft stands. 🙁

As other people have mentioned, the red lines indicate an area where there must be no deformation to the aircraft skin or it will be likely to affect the pressure sensors (static ports) supplying information to the air data computers.

Excellent! 😀

Really like that mucky Air France A321 and the HLX Fokker 100 with the white nose-cone.

Two of the Farnair ATR. Wonder what’s behind those red outlined access panels?

Nices ones Kev. I don’t think there’s anything behind them, they’re just outlining where the static ports are.

Last batch… Hurrah I hear you cry.

Two of a HLX F100.

Portugalia F100.

And at 8:15pm I decided I’d had enough. Five hours of standing, but only two falls, meant my legs had had enough so I dragged my weary self back to the car. The drive home saw a yellow helicopter (HEMS?) in the Jodrell Bank area and also saw me stopping at every service station on the M6 due to cramp.

A very tiring day but well worth it as it helped me get used to the camera and wasn’t bad from a spotting point of view. I do like the AVP and its facilities and only hope it is replaced by something equally good should it be lost in MAN’s expansion plans.

Hope you all enjoyed my day out.
