Spray Shop Swap.

Trying to bring a little colour into these grey days ! Today this Gulfstream left us, after a, very long, 23 day stay in spray shop 3 ? In the same colour scheme it arrived in ?? but very shiney ??

To be replaced in spray 3 by this, which sneaked in without my seeing it untill it was being prepaired to enter spray !

And why the same livery…surely aircraft go in for a new paintjob, or am I missing the point here?

all of the UAE official aircraft are immaculate so it seems logical to me that they would want to repaint them from time to time

I’ve been hanging on to solve the Air Mandalay problem but that will have to wait now! 😉

The problem is solved, I am free to go, latest Air Mandalay plane c/n 467, ex EI-CMJ is now XY-AIR, patience is rewarded. 😀

cloud 9. Thanks for your input, we have noticed that the majority of biz jet size aircraft seem to take a lot longer than much larger airliners ? one school of thought is that there maybe interior works done at the same time ?? As for the same colour scheme ? well this is also not unusual, this is the second consecutive UAE Gulfstream to have a ‘same as’ respray in a few weeks, the last to leave, which I missed at both ends 😡 was a Wizz A320 which also went home with the same scheme ???
Tonight another Bae146 / RJ85 / 100 from Brussels slipped into spray 2 !

23 days……why so long for what is a relatively small aircraft by comparison to some of the stuff I have seen going in and coming out of there (thanks to your photos!;)).

And why the same livery…surely aircraft go in for a new paintjob, or am I missing the point here?

Weather wise probably! Be difficult enough for me getting internet access ‘on the road’ without the additional complication of downloading photos, we’ll see. 😉
