Read Kenneth Williams’ autobiography once, and was disappointed that he seemed to have such a contemptuous opinion of the Carry On films that made his name. He’d go on for page after page about rehearsing for some obscure arty-farty theatre play, and in passing say something like “And things weren’t made any easier by breaking off for 6 weeks to film “Carry On, Doctor” Other than that, he barely mentioned them.
