LONG STRATTON BYPASS CAMPAIGN

The Long Stratton Bypass Campaign has set up an E-Petition:
http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/StrattonBypass/

We have been campaigning for a much needed bypass of the Norfolk village of Long Stratton (On A140, 10 miles south of Norwich) for years. In fact, the first talk of a bypass was way back in 1937!!

More than 21,000 vehicles pass through the village daily (1996 figures). Whilst some of the pavements are only 2.5ft wide, and walking that close to a 35mph HGV is not a very pleasant experience!!

Norfolk County Council (NCC) have spent over £1m on design work e.c.t, all we need is the ‘final cheque’ (some £25m) and then the diggers can move in!

Last year the Un-elected East of England Regional Assembly (EERA) turned down NCC’s request for funding:mad:, therefore…………….the campaign goes on!

Please take 2 secs to sign the petition

Cheers

Thorny
