 I have recently bought the Fratellis album (a jolly decent scottish trio). I have noticed now that I have a scottish bent. I am a big fan of Nazareth and Alex Harvey, Deacon Blue. I am extremely partial to a certain beverage produced from this fine country. I am detecting a certain leaning to our Celtic cousins. Is there some magnanimous scots lady who would like to adopt me please.

I didn’t realise Nazareth were still going.
Ivan – where is John Martyn on your list?? 😀
One of the passionate musicians in the world today. Not totally my cup of tea, but I know a class act and happily listen to him. Nice to chill out to. Needs a bit of practice with his guitar technique tho! 😉

Ivan,
Nazareth playing here in Aberdeen tomorrow night at the Beach Ballroom – a stones throw away from where a Scottish “lady”, probably smelling strongly of that certain beverage, will ( for a fee ) adopt you for about an hour !!!!:D 😀

Ivan, how big is the chip on your shoulder:D , is it a Pentland Firth or a Maris Piper:D 😀 .
Stay where you are, it must be better than living up here.
Its a King Edward!!!
I can honestly say that probably the best holiday I had was a two week stay in Scotland during that hot summer a few years ago. Family wedding in Fort Augustus/Invergarry and then stopping in a friends rental property attached to their own home in Girvan. Flew to Glasgow, picked up a hire car and drove to Augustus for the wedding and then down to Tony’s house in Girvan. Great weather, beautiful scenery, the tranquility of Glen Trool, freaking the kids out at Electric Brae etc. I’d rather be back there than down here in the grubby midlands.

Manny Charlton still very much alive and still recording ( new album Americana Deluxe was released 16th Feb ) though he left the band in 1990.
However, Darrell Sweet, the original drummer , died of a heart attack back in 1999Good band site here : http://www.nazarethdirect.co.uk
As for the fee, well I can only imagine it’s a bit like buying a car :- the older the car and the more miles on the clock, the cheaper it will be though to be quite honest, you probably won’t find too many low mileage “Ferrari’s” around Aberdeen harbour !!! 😀 😀
Thanks for that info and link. Obviously confusion as to which one popped their clogs from my unreliable sources.
So for a small fee I could turn my “Scottish Bent” into a Scottish Bint!!
Coat already retrieved. 😉

In Italics = US tourist in West Highland pub, conversing with natives…:D
😀 😀 😀
I’m not sure all of my countrymen could converse with the natives….
Awhile back on the Independent Film Channel they showed a film set in Scotland and it had subtitles.:D

If you said no to any of the above you can still move to Scotland, you just have to live closer to the border.

If you move to Scotland I’d keep quiet about the ones in bold, if you intend to live anywhere north of Dumbarton…:D
