This is about the last thing farming needs, in fact its about the last thing anyone needs. We can only hope that it will be contained and that no further outbreaks will take place.

Bird Flu
I dont understand why DEFRA repeated the mistakes the of foot and mouth episode by putting these birds on trucks and hauling them from Norfolk to Staffordshire. It doesn’t make sense to me, why not burn them on site or at least somewhere in the restricted zone.

Not again…
Its not that long since the last Foot & Mouth outbreak wiped out the entire generations old livestock in a mountain range near my home. i well remember the disinfectant car sprays, the shoe washes etc.
Hopefully we will not see the like again.
