i do not want to start a argument over smoking. i am a smoker and i do agree banning smoking in certain places like public transport and certain pubs. but a total all out ban in public is ridiculas, what is wrong in pubs and clubs having a smoking room like they used too, is there going to be a total ban on mobile phones in public or 2 days a week ban all non important cars from the roads…… most people stand back and watch us completley destroy our planet. it is such a huge issue this banning smoking in public but noboby gives a toss about the rain forest being cut down or the polar ice cap melting. also i think taking away somebodys right to smoke is the same as taking away someones right to eat and drink in public… i mean fatty foods can kill you right.. and on the passive smoking issue… what about all these cars and lorries on the roads and factorys belching out pollution.. are we going to ban them as well…..
If it didn’t affect other people indirectly then carry on by all means. And yes you are right to highlight those other issues that require our attention too. 😀
As I understand it, the Scottish parliament have plans to banish fatty foods, junk foods and confections from schools in order to combat childhood obesity. I also heard about a local authority who is withdrawing free school buses for kids within a certain distance, who’d be better off walking there and back.
I don’t know where we’re at at the moment in terms of developing cleaner fuels and propellants, but the sooner we cut that crap out too, the better.
