Very true. I guess it’s just that we only seem to hear about the muslim clerics doing this and doing that. Sometimes I wonder just how twisted they have to be in order to say some of the things they do.

Controverial Islamic cleric Taj al-Din al-Hilali has reportedly claimed Muslims have more right to be in Australia than people of Anglo-Saxon descent because their ancestors were not convicts.

He also defended the comments he made last year in which he compared immodestly-dressed women to pieces of meat.

Look at what happened after the 7/7 bombings in London……..it was the poor sods running their businesses and making something of themselves that caught the sharp end of the sword.

If I saw someone preaching hatred I’d tell them in no uncertain terms to “go somewhere else and do it where no-one has to listen to their twisted opinions and no-one even cares what they say” 😀 😀 😀

If you’ve studied Native American history..tribes often fought against one another…those enemies that were’nt killed were taken as slaves.
Not exactly the prototype hippies that Hollywood has painted them for the last 40 years.

I’m sure if you go back far enough one group of cave dwellers used their advanced technology to take over someone else’s rock.

My point is that it was going on long before Australia and the Americas.
What about European colonies in Africa and tha Pacific?
Should the “civilized ” governments/kingdoms of France, England, Spain (and later the U.S.) have known better?
Probably…but judging them by today’s standards is wrong.

Might as well fault Di Vinci for not building a glider (he was smart enough to figure it out and he had the same raw materials available as Otto Lilienthal).

I’m surprised that no one in this world give a damn about the crimes committed against the indigenous people of Australia. But then again, who is going to take responsible for those crimes?

And then there is the indigenous peoples of the America’s , North and South, who had to put up with French , British & Spanish invasion and murder.Never mind the later American subjugation of their native tribes. and then what about the Irish, Scotch and Welsh invaded and deported in their thousands? The Saxons invaded by the French? How far do you go back ?where do you stop?

Yes it is to the shame of Western civilisatons/Empires that their history is so drenched in the blood of the innocents. And it is to the shame of their modern day successors that they still think subjugation and bloodshed is the way to go…they never learn the lessons of history do they?

Yes something must start/continue to be done to allow the pitiful remnants of once great peoples to survive with dignity and a means to retain their history & culture but times pass and time change…we have to learn to live with it and learn from the mistakes of the past.

What is more amusing is how whatshisname got into Australia in the first place. The guys history should have prevented him from gaining citizenship however a lot of negative facts were ignored. The guy is a threat. Deport him back to where he came from.
