Royal Marines loose extra pay

Personally, i think that the marines deserve every penny of the extra cash, and more. £17 a day to risk life and limb? Is that too much to ask??

Its about time that the British govt, and by that i mean whichever party is in power at the time (they’re all as bad as one another), should pull its finger out and realize that:

A) If you want a world class military, it cannot be done on the cheap
B) The people who go out to fight and die in the wars that you start deserve more respect than the dirt that you treat them like at the moment
C) If they were any kind of leader they would provide decent equipment, pay and food to our troops in the field.

I’d like to see them squirm out of that one.

The term “disgrace” implies that the people responsible for this decision are likely to feel ashamed of it.

Experience has taught me that this is highly unlikely to be the case. They’ll probably get a bonus. 😡

Unfortunately the UK’s modern politicians very very very rarely squirm, instead they just lie- who saw Margeret Beckitt tell everybody that everything in southern Iraq is is fine?- I rest my case.
