Guernsey August 2006

Went over to Guernsey three weeks ago to a friends wedding. I took the camera along and took some snaps from around the island.

Here are a few of them.

On the way in, St Peter Port from the air.

Was it a “Local” wedding, how did your friends sister look as the bride ??? Guernsey, one of only a few places in the world that has an annual doesn’t look a like Competition.

You never hear Guernsey folk say give me a high five, usual a high six.

Did you find eating in one of the local cafes or restaurants an un-nerving experience. News would have got around quickly and many of the locals would have flocked to press their noses against the cafe window to see the “stranger” using a knife and fork.

There’s nothing more unusual than seeing the “Donkey” folk, trying to eat soup with a fork.
