Anyone else experiencing weather related transmission probs? ALL terestral channels went dead for most of yesterday and this morning. 😡
Now back on. I think the heat is to blame….

ah Comet…I found this out yesterday morning. Thanks for the info anyway. I’m in leeds by the way…
There was a very quick item on BBC local breakfast news about this the other day. Apparently the work will contuinue until the 8th August. This probably explains why at least twice, the local news feed has been BBC London! This is despite the fact I’m on a cable network, which shouldn’t be affected but seems to have been.

TV signals here in my part of Ireland are bad at the moment for the UK stations from a transmitter approx 50 miles away.
Sun spots or even sunny WX were brilliant back in the old CB radio days!!! meant tyou could get all sorts of wierd and wonderfull contacts into various parts of the world..Was talking to a pal who started using 27 mhz again in the last few months and apparently the ” skip “or DX signals are brilliant again….time for the old breaker breaker again !! or should be “CQ CQ DX ” !!!

Depending where you are, there is work on a TV transmitter at Emley Moor, Yorkshire which is causing the loss of all the channels. It has been happening in Scarborough for several days now.
