Here in OZ after a long flight!

Well I have arrived in OZ – well Melbourne to be exact – for a two year stint over here – bit cooler than in the UK at the moment but fantastic weather for mid winter!!

Travelled on Cathey pacific – not impressed with their food much!- but the flight was ok if a little tedius to say the least – a A340 to HK then a very noisy A330 to MEL!

We were out looking for somewhere to rent today in the Brighton area and I was more than pleased to be entertained by first of all – a turbo prop display team in a V formation flying over the bay! – later I saw a tiger moth doing very low wing overs along the beach and finally a Harvard was heard then seen – followed by a very bright red staggerwing with a very shiney chrome propspinner!!

Great stuff – not bad considering it was our first time out and about today – after arriving on friday – made me feel less home sick (of warbirds)!!

Think they were coming from Mooribin (spelt wrong!) as thats not far from here. the other half was not amused – but it makes me instanty want to live there!!

I feel a little trip coming on to the airport!!

sorry about the spelling – in a internet cafe with dodgy keyboard!

Excellent rich, have a great time whilst you’re over there, I have been to Oz 3 times and the flights do get easier, I think eastbound, flying to Hong Kong then to Oz is one of the longest ways, but I guess when you get to go again it’ll be easier because you will know what to expect and you will be more prepared, keep us informed on how its going
