Angel

I am your angel, I will protect you
I will follow you and keep you safe
No one can hurt you now I’m here
No pain, suffering, misery or fear

I will love you and abide with you
I will hold your hand
Keep you safe until the day
You reach the promised land

I am your angel tall, and strong
No one can do you any wrong
I will love you and keep you safe
No one will touch you, it’s ok

But after some time, all this pain
Nothing came to your gain
The clipped my wings for being elsewhere
Pretending that I don’t care

I am your angel, or so they say
I was there for you night or day
You now need to go your own way

Step out into the street,
Remember the world is at your feet
