do enyone else agree with me that British summers are getting hotter and hotter. i have just finished work “thank god”, the heat was almost unbearable earlier.. my dad and i went to a gala yesterday and he almost fainted with heat exhaustion. i think the poor St Johns Ambulance people was over run.. who would have thought just 4 months ago us poor Brits was freezing our watsits off.. i think its supposed to get hotter this week as well…. 😎 😎 😎

Meanwhile back here in Scotland afger the brief warm spell its all boringly normal for summertime. Windy, dull and showers, with the occasional blue patch upstairs.

Its hotter thanks to GLOBALWARMING
Yeah, they told us that this global warming will mean that our winters will come calm, hardly bellow 0 degrees and summers getting colder and very rainy….BS…In the last few winters have been freezing (almoust constatly over -20 degrees) and this and last summer exhaustingly hot (25 degrees all the time, which is hot for us finns :diablo: )

my advice is…..move inland, lol!!!!

Exactly … it’s a cycle and it seems probable we are accelerating it. That doesn’t explain (per se, as Canpark alleged) why you’re having hot weather. Heatwaves (and the cold we’re experiencing in the Southern Hemisphere) occur from time to time. If the frequency of these things becomes more rapid then again perhaps the blame can be attributed to us.
So yes, it certainly seems that way, but there being a relationship is not the same as cause and effect.

Quite so Der.
Canpark … you may be right only if what you mean is that global warming is making the weather patterns more radical – but not if you are trying to say temperatures generally are higher – globally! It’s friggin freezing here in NZ, one of the worst (cold, snow, wet, etc.) Junes on record (worst in 20 years or something like that) and July not shaping up to be much better.
So if you do mean that global warming is creating wilder weather patterns (hotter, colder, windier, etc.) then I’ll perhaps agree with you.
try and explain why the Polar ice caps are melting so rapidly then, global warming is also a natural thing, it has happend many times during Earths history, the trouble is now us humans are speeding up the process, what used to take many thousands of years to take place, now takes a few 10s of years. freak weather is a part of global warming..

Guess we’d wait for the storms to show up to clean up the atmosphere a la “Day After Tomorrow”….
Had them in the UK Midlands on Tuseday. Flooding killed my car.

Was watching Sky News yesterday and they were talking about Global Warming, but im led to belive they talk about that every time a heatwave hits the UK, And yes its etreamly warm, but i must admit i prefer this to typical british weather!, but you see people whine when its pouring down with rain and go on holiday for sun, then when its sunny, they whine about it being to hot! (im one of them!) altough i dont think people go on holiday just to get away from the sun, altough im most probably wrong!
