This forum is turning into a permament A vs B argument.
I reach the point where I don’t read the forum for days.
The basic question is : When will it stop? This is boring !!!!!!!

Now let me see,you come from the Netherlands———-.
I keep hearing so much about the restart, for years,is it really going to happen?
Don’t get me wrong,I’d love to see it.Do you have any hot news? Do we have to wait for Paris?
I know as much as you do. There are a few people at airliners.net that say we can expect Rekkof announcement at the Paris Air Show. However, they have been telling that about the previous Paris and Farnborough shows as well. We’ll see.

I’m all in favour of F, or R depending on what will be announced at Paris.

How about a C versus E thread to draw away the heat? I’ll stake my place in the Embraer camp to get things going, now who wants a fight? Puttem up !!!! 😮

LOL…well, there is the proposed CSeries. 😉

That’s the way I see it too.
Until there is a C… A vs B is unavoidable.
Oh come on buddy… there’s no way you can even bring good old Canadair in to the argument? 😀

Is that not unavoidable ? I mean there are only A and B. left as commercial airplane manufactures in the western world. And nearly everything boils down to it.

I really do like your style Cliff……stay a long time pls! 😀 😀 😀
I’m not in a hurry really. So I think I’ll stay for a while and watch this show! 😀

That’s just it! None of it IS constructive! It’s just one against the other, and goes on and on and on…………….zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
I believe you are wrong. From time to time there have been different discussions showing that at least some people on this forum have deep knowledge of aircraft operations or aircraft design and engineering. As an example I could point out Coandas post about composites and stress engineering where he talks about the pro-/cons- to have an all out composite airplane. He backs up his arguments in a quite technical way to show that his remarks are valid. That makes it so much more interesting to read than the usual fanboy-rants.

Cliff

But that does not mean forbidding serious discussions with constructive arguments.

Well, that just begs the question, why start another thread on the very subject which bores you??????!!!!!!!!Am I the only one to think this is stupid?
I agree,VERY boring! Nobody can lay their hands on any proof,so why discuss it?
If nobody talks about it, then people will keep carrying on.
As for suggestions, the merge of threads seems decent.
I think that much like A.Net, we should just AVOID IT!

I didn’t start an other thread on A vs B just expressed my feelings.
Is it still possible on this forum???? Maybe this one will be censured as an other one was. 😡

I can’t see why we shouldn’t discuss A vs B. We will get into that subject sooner or later anyway, especially since each and every construction these two companies brings up are meant to compete with each other.
What I do find disturbing is when these discussions gets into a rant mode. There are far too many threads with just a news snippet being used as an excuse to write a couple of lines ranting on x or y. This I would say, must come to an end.
But that does not mean forbidding serious discussions with constructive arguments. There are many pro-Boeing and pro-Airbus guys at this forum capable of having such discussions, so don’t let the naive fanboys dictate the rules.

well… since you didnt joing long back you must not be feeling the annoyance that A vs B threads create! 😀

Constructive suggestions, please! 😀

Funny……the person who started this thread has made certain comments that one would assume implies this individual is on the A side of the forum….and yet they start a thread complaining about the constant arguments.
By: Grey Area - 4th June 2005 at 18:01
OK – so what do we do about it?
I’m open to suggestions, chaps.
Maybe I should merge the lot into one huge A vs B thread so the rest of us can leave well alone? 🙂
By: KabirT - 4th June 2005 at 17:02
These A v B are extremely pointless and boring. Especially when someone gets all technical and financial with it.
agreed… my postings here have gone down dramatically because there is hardly anything to say.
