XBox 360: Help, for the love of God please help

Ok my XBox 360 arrived today, and guess what? That’s right I can’t get the damn thing set up on line. I’m using a router via my PC which has series 1 XP, no media thingy-ma-bob and only has dial up connection “I know, I know…Broadband came out years ago” :p .
Having spent the past two hours with Microsoft and the XBox helplines all talking gibberish “put the pc into the dcm through the pqr with the thd” etc etc and have gotten no where.
DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY ADVICE??? 😮
I need to get set up on-line cos I have Advanced Warfighter which the 360 won’t play without an update on-line.

Is there a simple way to get connected? How did u do it? Is wireless the best way to go???

Any advice, pleassseee!!! Thanks….

P.S.

Simple English please 🙂

Well I’ve signed up for Orange Broad Band, I’m already a mobile customer and I figured “why not”. Get my modem in a week and I should be up and running in about ten days from then.
Hopefully then I can play Ghost Recon AWF
In the meantime, outside of Progect Gotham which is an excellent racer, is there any other game I can play without needing to get an update?
Call of Duty perhaps…please say yes 😮

Yup, Microsoft’s XBox Live network is broadband-only.

I’m informed by someone who wishes to remain name less that you do need broadband.

Paul

That’s absolutely correct, you need BB to connect the xbox to xbox live
